Barbara is your dream realtor- seriously! We LOVED working with her! So much so that our family has just bought their 5th, yes 5th house in 2.5 years with her help and expertise. Little by little my adult children and my husband and I have moved out of state to the Lynchburg area and she has been a huge part of that transition process. Her communication, attention to detail, expertise in not only real estate but also in construction and SO much more gave peace to the stressful process of relocating. If you’re looking for a real estate agent who will always be in your corner, provide you with excellent care on the buying and/or selling side of home ownership, and equip you to make informed small and big decisions along the way, Barbara is the real estate agent for you. I wrote the review below in 2022 after we just moved to Lynchburg from Texas:

“Thinking of starting a Barbara fan club! She got us under contract for our new home while we were living in Texas! Buying a house from out-of-state is not ideal, but Barbara made us feel like we were there in Lynchburg. I never imagined buying my first house could be this painless!”

Now in 2024, I can honestly say these words still ring true after we sold this home and bought our dream home in Boonsboro to better accommodate our growing family. Barbara made buying our new home as smooth as possible. If any bumps came up along the way, she was so quick to help us resolve them in a timely and thoroughly manner. We were new to the area from out of state in 2020, attempting to relocate during Covid when the market was in chaos. Our experience with Barb was amazing, so much so that when we went to sell we didn’t even consider using another realtor. We sold in a different market, and she was extremely hands on in helping us get our home organized and show ready. We felt heard, supported and cared for in a way that I haven’t heard expressed with online or word of mouth reviews of other area realtors. Moving is so stressful. She gave us a feeling of stability through her never wavering dependability and going above and beyond to not only identify issues, but also complete the steps to resolve them without just handing it off to us to figure out. Barb also took the time to explain each part of the process. Now that I’m home buying again, I have a significantly greater comfort level in advocating for my family. I have a greater understanding of not only what we need to look/ask for, but exactly why it’s important. That knowledge is invaluable. I recommend her to every family I know looking to buy/sell, including my own parents. There is truly no better choice in the Lynchburg/Forest/Bedford area. There are not enough kind words to say about Matt, both in his conduct and in his work performance. He was on top of things throughout our whole selling and buying process, quick to get needed information back to us in such a fast market, and ready to provide good consultation as we worked through the large decision of moving to Forest, VA from Lynchburg. Matt was recommended by Dennis Dawson and was the only person I considered as my agent. I am so happy with Matt and the team at Pinnacle Real Estate Team. Starting with the professional photos(those drone images - wow), the diligence determining the fair market value all the way through to the sale of the property - Matt has been hands on and available to me. The transactions have all been done on line with the help of Hannah Vernon and others in the office. Working through the documentation required has been a breeze. Everyone has been courteous and respectful. We all think our circumstances are special, and I'm no different. I had left the house in the hands of a contractor for renovations and walked away. Matt helped to arrange for a person (Kyle Bryant) to come in and remove unwanted furniture, clean out the cabinets and do a spruce up of the floors when done. When the buyer's agent requested additional information, it was Matt that drove to the house each time - which was about a 40 mile round trip. I highly recommend Matt Durand and the entire Pinnacle Real Estate Team.
